San Francisco has always been known for fine dining and excellent restaurants and Mares & Dow Construction & Skylights has a special piece of that eclectic history. During the 1980s and 1990s the firm specialized in restaurant construction and worked with chef/owners to create high-class, high-powered and highly functional restaurants and kitchens for names that still reflect the city’s most exquisite dining experience.

The following are selected projects from our vintage portfolio that show some of the knowledge and craftsmanship that took place behind the San Francisco cuisine scene.
